Welcome to LeNS!

The London Hospitals electronic Notification Service is a free service provided by the London hospitals to community family physicians. By subscribing to this service, you will receive electronic notification of the following events:

  • inpatient admissions
  • emergency department visits
  • inpatient discharges
  • inpatient transfers to other institutions
  • in-house deaths

This service is offered to all family physicians in Ontario. If you would like to subscribe, please provide the following information:

First Initial: (usually first letter of given name)
Email address:
OHIP Billing ID:

Please note that we require your OHIP Billing ID in order to ensure your identity. This information is not shared with any agency or organization beyond LeNS.

As soon as you register, you will receive an email providing you with a login ID and temporary password. Please change your password the first time you access the system.

The next time one of your patients accesses any of the Thames Valley hospitals, you will receive an email notifying you to log onto our secure Web server with your login and password. There you will be provided with information about the event and the ability to print a chart copy if you desire.

It is important to remember that some patients do not wish their family physician to be aware of a particular visit to the hospital. In these cases, the patient's wishes are respected and the information is not provided by LeNS.
